The key aim for the Learning Mentors is helping students of all ages and abilities achieve their full potential. This involves identifying barriers to learning and ways in which they can be dealt with. These barriers can often be personal to the individual student.
They work with students largely on a 1-2-1 or small group basis, but also run lunchtime or after school clubs and drop-in sessions. They work together with parents and carers to develop a support system that is of benefit to the student and the family as a whole.
