Media Studies

 

Media Studies covers many different areas of popular culture. If you have an interest in music, television, computer games, magazines, film or journalism then this is the subject for you. You can design a new band and produce a video for them; write an episode for a soap or sit-com; Make your own fashion or football magazine or design a website for a new film.
All of these activities can be produced using industry standard software and will equip you with the skills you need to begin work in the media industry.
Media is one of the biggest employment areas of the country and offers careers as varied as a camera man through to a research assistant.
The A Level is a popular choice for media students as are Film, Communication, ICT and English.
