Everyone at Werneth takes part in PE from pupils to parents and staff!

There are 4 lessons a fortnight combined with a wealth of lunchtime and after school activities. Lessons make full use of our superb facilities including an Astroturf, sports hall, extensive playing fields and two gyms.

In Key Stage 4 students can choose Physical education as an Option Subject and study PE for 10 hours a fortnight. Students will be able to choose from a combination of subjects including BTEC Diploma in Sport (worth 4 GCSE's), Dual Award GCSE (2 GCSE's), BTEC Certificate in Sport (2 GCSE's) and a Junior Sports Leaders Award.

The Werneth PE Department offers a range of sports as clubs or teams after school. These include football, netball, rugby, hockey, badminton, tennis, golf, lacrosse, trampolining, boxing, dodgeball, athletics, cross country, basketball, cricket and rounders. So there's something for everyone to do.
