Religious Studies at Werneth is a popular, high achieving and vibrant subject which aims to enable pupils to value and respect themselves and others as unique individuals through the pathway of creativity in any and all forms.

From totem poles to prayer flag, from role-play to persuasive writing, from debates to visiting researchers, Religious Studies endeavours to help each pupil appreciate the spiritual motivation in people.

Tolerance and understanding of the beliefs and values of others are nurtured and explored through the six main religions of the world. We place particular emphasis on encouraging the individual to stand secure in who they are rather than succumbing to conformity in order to feel accepted.

Religious Studies is relevant and topical for all pupils who will become citizens of the global village.
