In year 7 students design and make a doorstop. The theme for the project is animals. They produce a design folder and learn textiles techniques, which they can then use these to make their door stop. The use a variety of tools including the sewing machine.

 

In year 8 the project has a Circus Theme. Students learn a variety of techniques to colour fabric.

They produce a sample/design booklet and make a final outcome, which is a set of juggling balls in a drawstring bag.

 

In year 9 students are involved in designing and making a monster. They produce a design folder and build on skills by learning a variety of embellishment techniques. Students then use these techniques to make their own monster out of recycled fabric.
