The school motto, 'Werneth Cares', indicates that we are a learning community committed to achieving high standards in all aspects of school life; indeed our school mission statement is 'learning without limits' .
By working in partnership we intend to build on the substantial progress made in recent years so that every child fulfils his or her potential both in and out of the classroom closely with parents and students.
The original school buildings came into use in 1941, and several additions and extensions have been added over the years. Specialist provision is available for all subjects. There are extensive playing fields, an all-weather pitch, two gymnasia, a Sports Hall, good laboratory accommodation, extensive Technology workshops, computing facilities, a well stocked School Library and Resource Centre, Music technology suite, Diploma room, Performing Arts' areas and the Image Theatre. The environment is well-cared for and the grounds and accommodation undergo a planned maintenance programme.
